Find out more about Cabo Vilán / Alto da Vela

Cape Vilán is not only the point where you can see the first electric lighthouse in Europe, but also one of the most spectacular sunsets thanks to its panoramic view of the Atlantic. And once the sun has disappeared, you will be able to see the stars in the night sky at a nearby point and through which you will have to pass to return to the town of Camariñas such as the Alto da Vela viewpoint.

To get to these two points you will have to take the road that connects the town of Camariñas with its lighthouse. Both places have a space reserved for parking so you will have no problem parking your car. Cape Vilán is the end of the route of this road. As for the Alto da Vela viewpoint, it is located in the vicinity of the lighthouse, in an area that opens to the side of the road and has seats and sculptures of pins in homage to bobbin lace.
