Find out more about Festa do Longueirón de Fisterra
Langosteira beach is one of the most prolific when it comes to getting the longueirón (razor clam).
For this reason, in the town of Fisterra a gastronomic festival of longueirón is held every year dedicated to extolling all the virtues that this precious seafood possesses.
Thus, stalls are set up that run through the streets of this town and where you can taste the longueirón in all its possible preparations.
In addition, in parallel, the Encontro Pirata is held every year, a celebration that recalls the sacking of the town by the pirate Harry Paye in 1404 and the subsequent return of the stolen cross by an English entourage.
And all this while the music of the verbenas plays at nightfall.
The “Festa do Longueirón” is held on the first weekend of August in Fisterra.
