The Coristanco potato is one of the best in the world and, as it could not be otherwise, it has its own gastronomic festival in which tribute is paid to this excellent product and to all the farmers and their work. In it you can attend and participate in an endless number of activities and shows such as the exhibition of Galician Soft Drinks or the exhibition of agricultural machinery, the contest of figures with potato, the activities of the land (trullo contest and apañar patatas) or the contest of omelettes with potatoes of Coristanco, the traditional sardiñada, the parade of tractors, tasting of local products and participation in traditional games. All accompanied by performances and concerts that will liven up these days of festivities.
The “Potato Festival” is celebrated in Coristanco on September 14 and 15.
