Find out more about Tearing down walls with paint. Carballo

Knocking down Walls with Painting is an urban art initiative that is turning Carballo into a real open-air museum.
The project wants to creatively heal the urban wounds that, as in so many Galician towns, were left by the urban growth of the 60s and 70s.
There are already more than sixty works by various international, national and local artists who tear down walls with paint in Carballo.

In addition to the murals that are created throughout the year, every May the town celebrates the Rexenera Fest, the first public art festival in Carballo.
Thanks to this event, names of artists who leave their talent in true works of art throughout the world, also leave their mark on the town, surprising those who dare to walk the streets and find them in every corner and around every corner.

Since the first mural inaugurated in the spring of 2014 by the Italian Roberta Venanzi and Paula Fraile from La Mancha, Carballo has come a long way to achieve the variety of themes, colours, techniques and spaces that continue to transform the city.
