On the beach of Trece, on one of the slopes of Monte Blanco, the rampant dune of the same name ascends, which, together with that of Ponteceso, is one of the highest in Europe. It also stands out for the presence of several species of protected flora, such as the Corema Album or Camariña, which gives its name to the town of Camariñas. Also known as “hunger grass”, its fruit was consumed during periods of scarcity due to the lack of food. It is necessary to remember that we are dealing with a landscape of special protection, so it is advisable not to leave the marked paths and interfere as little as possible with the environment. One of the points from which we can view this entire environment is the Cemetery of the English, included in the European Route of Unique Cemeteries, and recognized as a European Cultural Route.
