It is the smallest estuary in Galicia! Located in the parish of Lires, it manages to create a natural boundary between the municipality of Cee and the municipality of Muxía. It is part of the Natura 2000 Network and is considered a Site of Community Interest due to its enormous ecological value, especially ornithology, since it is a place of passage for numerous seabirds.

It is formed by the mouth of the Castro River and is known for its spectacular sunsets. In addition, it is an obligatory place of passage on the Xacobean Route in the section from Fisterra to Muxía.
