Costa da Morte will take its new campaign to FITUR: “Where the land speaks and the sky responds”

CMAT will present, on Thursday 22 January in Madrid, a proposal that positions the destination as a territory of emotion, identity and authentic experience Costa da Morte will once again be present at FITUR, the International Tourism Fair in Madrid, to continue strengthening its positioning as a destination with its own voice within the Galician and Spanish tourism landscape.

Costa da Morte Tourism Association (CMAT) will use its presence at the fair to officially present, next Thursday 22 January, its new promotional campaign: “COSTA DA MORTE: WHERE THE LAND SPEAKS AND THE SKY RESPONDS”, a tagline that captures the essence of the territory and its unique way of relating to landscape, culture and the travel experience.

The campaign is born from the conviction that Costa da Morte is much more than a destination: it is identity, character and living memory. A territory where sea, land, wind, silence and light are in constant dialogue with those who live here and those who visit. A place where experiences are not artificially manufactured, but arise from the authenticity of the land itself.

CMAT is committed to projecting a destination model that is consistent with what Costa da Morte truly is: a living, inhabited territory with its own culture, where the landscape is not staged, traditions are not performed, and hospitality is never forced. The focus is on respectful, sustainable tourism, deeply connected to the people who build the territory’s identity day by day.

In this sense, Costa da Morte stands out for its strategic assets as a destination: the richness of its unspoilt nature, its historical legacy and archaeological and heritage wealth, and its authentic gastronomy, rooted in products from sea and land, prepared according to traditional recipes that keep its identity alive. All of this shapes unique experiences that combine scenery, culture and local flavours, integrating the people who make this territory possible.

In addition, the video to be presented at FITUR travels through key places across the territory, showing—visually and emotionally—the beauty and identity of Costa da Morte, while also featuring the real voices of local residents: journalists Josiño Mira and Fran Rodríguez, Tania, a cultural officer from Zas, and Virxina, from the Costa da Morte Astrotourism Association, who naturally and authentically convey what this place is and what it means to those who live it and feel it.

The presentation at FITUR will also be an opportunity to strengthen joint work with institutions and organisations that support this model of tourism development. In this regard, CMAT wishes to highlight the continued support of Turismo de Galicia and the Provincial Council of A Coruña (Deputación da Coruña), which have accompanied the project since its beginnings and have shared the vision of building a destination based on quality, sustainability and identity.

Furthermore, being at the fair will make it possible to hold meetings with other destinations, organisations and companies in the sector, encouraging the exchange of good practices and the sharing of new ideas and approaches that can be applied and adapted to the Costa da Morte territory.

The new audiovisual campaign to be unveiled in Madrid reflects precisely that honest view of the territory: Costa da Morte as it truly is—without artifice—with the real voices of its people, their accent, their way of expressing themselves, and their way of understanding the world as an essential part of their cultural heritage.

With this presence at FITUR, Costa da Morte reaffirms its positioning as an emerging, authentic and distinctive destination, one that does not seek to resemble others, but rather proudly projects what it has always been.
