The TVE La2 series “Rural Tourism in the World” began last week to shoot one of its episodes in different locations in the province of A Coruña. The Costa da Morte, with its impressive landscape and the works linked to the sea such as shellfish, especially the barnacle, will also have an important presence in the program.

The president of the County Council, Valentin González Formoso, stated that the program “is an excellent showcase to show in Spain how much the rural A Coruña has to offer” and highlighted the management carried out by the Tourism area of the provincial institution so that A Coruña is one of the episodes of this series of La2.

The project was born during the meeting of the program team with the head of the Tourism Department of the County Council of A Coruña, Xosé Regueira, in the latest edition of the International Tourism Fair (FITUR) in Madrid, where it was agreed to dedicate one of the programs to some of the geodestines which promotes the institution in its line of tourist promotion. The director of the series, Juan Frutos, highlighted the objective of “to publicize destinations from the rural prism” and spoke with enthusiasm of A Coruña that he was fascinated when he made a trip with 16 years that, he said, marked “for all Life, it was in that visit where I decided to study journalism, “he said.

During last week, the production team recorded on the geodestines of Ferrolterra, A Coruña and Las Mariñas, Terras de Santiago, Ría de Muros Noia and Arousa Norte, ending on the Costa da Morte. The transcendental resources were the Fragas do Eume and the Caaveiro mosterio, San Sadurniño, the Capelada and Cabo Ortegal mountains, the city of A Coruña (the Hercules tower, the San Pedro viewpoint and the Navy), the English Way, the estuary of Muros – Noia, the Ézaro waterfall, Malpica de Bergantiños, Corme, Monte Blanco and the lighthouse of Punta Nariga, and the lagoon of Baldaio and Caión.

The second season of the program closed with very good audience data, hence this new series of chapters is being rolled out. As an example, the one dedicated to Madeira reached 427,000 spectators and spectators and 2.9% share. It was the most watched program of La2 of TVE after “Saber y Ganar”, the reference of the public chain. The episode dedicated to Asturias, with 3.5% and 481,000 spectators, was one of the most watched programs of the first quarter of 2018.
