Yesterday, at six oclock in the afternoon, Galicia stand at Fitur hosted the presentation of the Costa da Morte geodestin “Four ways to live intensely Costa da Morte”. There, tourism professionals, politicians, media and other assistants robbed the president of the CMAT, Santiago Toba in his speech. In this first day for professional public of the international fair that is celebrated every year in Madrid, the Costa da Morte has shown its full potential, with the presentation on the stand of Galicia as “final touch”.
In the presentation, first, the Territorial Delegate of the Xunta de Galicia in the province of A Coruña, Ovidio Rodeiro emphasized the peculiarity of the Costa da Morte both geographically and by the wide range of councils that create and add value to the destination.
Next, the Vice-President of the Provincial Council of A Coruña, Xosé Regueira had chosen to highlight a value as important today as sustainability applied to tourism. In his words “Costa da Morte is one of the most sustainable territories” thanks to a non-invasive and far-reaching tourist model of mass tourism in other areas.
Then came the time of the presentation of the president of the CMAT, who organized his speech around the four brand values that define Costa da Morte: “Naturally wild”, “Marine character”, “Magic and spiritual” and “Traditional and deep” . After his words, it was projected the promotional video created for Fitur thanks to the contributions of the different municipalities that make up the geodestin. As we said, other events in Costa da Morte were the protagonists of Fitur yesterday. At the Turespaña stand were presented the party of the Assault at the Castle of Vimianzo, the Muxía Natural Association, “Cee Camino towards the sea” and the Exhibition of the Lace of Camariñas. On the other hand, the sport also had space thanks to the presentation of the stage of the Vuelta ciclista a España that will travel along the Costa da Morte and the new edition of the Gran Fondo Ézaro. Finally, at the Paradores stand in Spain, the new Parador de Costa da Morte was introduced to its network; located in Muxía.
