Looking for an easier way to cook healthy meals during the week? Join the free seafood batch cooking workshop in Carballo, organised by GALP Costa da Morte as part of the Pesca Saúde initiative. Learn to prepare meals ahead, make the most of fish and seafood and spend less time cooking on busy days.
Chef Miguel Mosteiro, nutritionist Valeria Freijedo from Arela Saúde and the Laxe Fishermen’s Guild will share approachable recipes, advice on chilling and freezing seafood, and ideas to cut food waste while keeping meals varied and full of flavour.
Sessions take place on Monday 19 and Monday 26 October 2026, from 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm at Fórum Carballo, Praza dos Bombeiros Voluntarios, s/n, 15100 Carballo, A Coruña, Galicia.
The workshop is free to attend, but places are limited. Register at pescasaude.gal or call +34 627 570 949.
Participants will receive a recipe booklet, nutritional guidance, an apron and a shopping bag made from recycled fishing nets and plastics by the Redeiras de Cariño association in collaboration with Aula Sostible do Freixo in Outes.
Take home useful skills and fresh ideas for bringing the flavours of the sea into everyday meals.
