Want to eat more healthily, spend less time cooking and make better use of fresh seafood? GALP Costa da Morte is hosting a free batch cooking workshop in Laxe as part of the Pesca Saúde initiative. Learn how to prepare meals for the week ahead while making delicious use of local fish and seafood.
Chef Miguel Mosteiro, Valeria Freijedo, a nutritionist at Arela Saúde, and the Laxe Fishermen’s Guild will share easy seafood recipes, practical advice on refrigerating and freezing different species, and ways to save time and reduce food waste.
The sessions take place on Monday 19 and Monday 26 October 2026, from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm, at the Serantes Neighbours’ Association, Trasfontáns s/n, Serantes parish, Laxe, A Coruña, Galicia.
Participation is free, but places are limited. Sign up at pescasaude.gal or call +34 627 570 949.
Participants will receive a recipe booklet, a guide to food and nutrition, an apron and a shopping bag made from recycled fishing nets and plastics by the Redeiras de Cariño association in collaboration with Aula Sostible do Freixo in Outes.
Come away with useful skills, new recipe ideas and a simpler way to enjoy seafood throughout the week.
