The history of Muxía, Moraime and the historic lands of Nemancos takes centre stage at a cultural event on Galicia’s Costa da Morte. On Friday 16 October 2026 at 7:30 pm, the Sala do Perello at Parador Costa da Morte in Muxía will host the presentation of Historia de Muxía e Moraime. Apuntamentos by José Enrique Benlloch del Río and José Enrique (Kike) Benlloch Castiñeira.
Drawing on primary documentary sources from archives in Galicia, elsewhere in Spain and internationally, the book is the result of decades of research. It aims to recover, preserve and share the historical memory of Muxía, Moraime and Nemancos, offering readers a closer look at the records behind the region’s past.
The presentation is an opportunity to learn about the authors’ work and the importance of documentary research in understanding local heritage. The Asociación Cultural Xervasio Paz Lestón and Paradores are involved in the publication, alongside collaborating cultural organisations.
