The parish of Cores, in the municipality of Ponteceso, celebrates the Ourada Festivities 2026 from Friday 18 to Sunday 20 September with a full programme combining music, gastronomy, tradition and cultural activities.
On Friday 18, from 9:00 pm, there will be a dinner with paella and traditional stone-cooked filloas. The evening will continue with a verbena featuring La Bamba and DJ Carlos.
On Saturday 19, San Roque’s day, the programme includes street music with Grupo Millar and O Couto, solemn mass at 1:00 pm sung by the Coral de Cores, and a pulpeira. In the afternoon there will be a vermouth session with Lidia Sueiro, theatre by Casa da Muller, a performance by Os Seixos de Tella, and an evening verbena with Lidia Sueiro, Son da Festa and a mobile disco.
On Sunday 20, Nosa Señora do O day, there will be street music with Grupo Millar, masses at 10:00 am, 11:00 am and 12:00 pm, solemn mass at 1:00 pm in honour of the Virgin of O, and a vermouth session with Eric Hidalgo. A pulpeira will also be available during the day.
The festivities include special food options. On Friday, portions of paella and filloas can be reserved, while on Saturday there will be octopus and ham with cachelos. Reservations are available through the phone numbers shown by the organisers on the poster.
The Ourada Festivities are a chance to enjoy parish life in Cores and an open celebration for locals, visitors and families who want to share three days of music, tradition and community spirit in Costa da Morte.
