Praza do Concello in Vimianzo hosts a new Danza3 performance featuring Cantigas e Agarimos, one of Galicia’s long-standing traditional music and dance ensembles. The show is part of the 14th edition of this programme devoted to promoting Galician folk culture and takes place on 20 September at 8:00 pm.
Danza3 brings Galicia’s intangible cultural heritage into public spaces through ensembles with decades of work in researching, preserving and passing on traditional dance, song and music. In Vimianzo, Cantigas e Agarimos offers a performance that turns the town square into a meeting point between generations.
The event is a chance to experience the work of an ensemble with dance, pandeireta, instrumental and choral sections, and to see folklore approached as a living culture: inherited repertoire, field research, performance and community transmission.
The 2026 edition of Danza3 is promoted by the Xunta de Galicia in collaboration with the XOC collective, formed by Xacarandaina, O Fiadeiro and Cantigas e Agarimos. The programme travels across Galician municipalities to bring traditional music and dance to a broad public.
