The Fisterra Patron Saint and Our Lady of Mount Carmel Festivities 2026 will take place from 4 to 8 September, bringing five days of music, religious traditions, children’s activities and celebrations to different locations around the town.

The programme includes processions, solemn masses, vermouth sessions, orchestras, brass bands, a children’s festival, a concert by A Roda and the 10th Alexandre Fisterra International Table Football Championship.

Programme for the Fisterra Patron Saint and Our Lady of Mount Carmel Festivities 2026

  • Friday 4 September: evening performances by Orquesta Assia and Full Mobile Disco.
  • Saturday 5 September, Our Lady of Mount Carmel: at 10:30 am, a procession through the town accompanied by the Agrupación Municipal Nuestra Señora del Carmen de Ferrol. This will be followed by a solemn mass at Fisterra Fish Market, the traditional maritime procession, an offering in memory of the men who died at sea, the Salve Mariñeira and a grand firecracker display. Vermouth session with Orquesta Mar de Arousa. In the evening, performances by Orquesta Mar de Arousa and La Fórmula, together with Full Mobile Disco.
  • Sunday 6 September, San Roque: at 12:00 noon, solemn mass at the Parish Church of Santa María das Areas and a procession through the town accompanied by Banda Desiderio Paz de Fisterra. Vermouth session with Grupo Pekados. At 4:00 pm, games and a large children’s festival in Praza da Constitución. In the afternoon, street performances by O Son dos Michos around A Insua, Mar de Fóra and San Roque; Nin Chica Nin Patacón around San Martiño and A Anchoa; and O Rumbo de Sardiñeiro through the historic centre. From 8:00 pm, an early-evening music session with Grupo Pekados.
  • Monday 7 September: at 8:00 pm, Mass for the Souls at the Parish Church of Santa María das Areas. At 10:00 pm, concert by A Roda.
  • Tuesday 8 September, Santa María das Areas, patron saint of the town: morning street performances and traditional dawn music. At 11:00 am, solemn mass at the parish church followed by a procession through the town accompanied by Banda Noroeste de Marín. Vermouth session with Orquesta Alaska. In the afternoon, street performance by O Rumbo de Sardiñeiro. At 6:00 pm, the 10th Alexandre Fisterra International Table Football Championship in Praza da Constitución.
