The 18th Brantuas – Niñóns Cultural Week 2026 takes place from 30 August to 7 September at the Casa dos Veciños in Brantuas, Ponteceso. Across nine days, the local community comes together for music, local memory, theatre, comedy, walking routes, food and the kind of shared cultural traditions that are deeply rooted in this part of the Costa da Morte.
The programme brings together a wide range of activities for different generations, including traditional music, a comedy monologue by Quico Cadaval, a concert by Milladoiro, theatre, tributes, heritage walks through the local villages, a historical-memory book presentation and popular food tastings.

Beyond the headline performers, this Cultural Week reflects a very local way of keeping culture alive: remembering the stories of the villages, walking through their heritage, gathering around music and opening the Casa dos Veciños as a shared meeting place. It is a particularly rewarding event for visitors who want to experience the popular culture of Ponteceso and the Costa da Morte at close range.
