According to legend, there was a plague of snakes in the area of Malpica until the arrival of the holy Hadrian. He stepped on one scaring the others who left the place immediately. Today this event is celebrated in the “Romaría de Santo Hadrián” in which you can participate accompanying the pilgrims and pilgrims in the procession of the figure to the sixteenth-century hermitage located in the Cape of San Hadrián.
