Vimianzo M.O.L.A. 2026 turns Vimianzo Castle into a lively meeting point for literature, oral storytelling, theatre, music and art from 4 to 6 September. Mural art, orality, literature and visual creation come together in a programme designed for different ages, all set in one of the most distinctive heritage venues on the Costa da Morte.
Across three days, writers, performers and artists will take part in book presentations, literary conversations, storytelling, puppetry, signings, a family installation, live music and theatrical visits. The book fair opens from 6:00 pm.
The wider programme also includes children’s and adult reading clubs at the Vimianzo Library, with sessions connected to the festival, as well as mural art activities. From 24 August, Cristian F. Caruncho will create an XXL mural on Rúa Rosalía de Castro, 7, in San Vicenzo. On 27 and 28 August, there will also be a collaborative mural activity for participants aged 8 to 16.
Vimianzo M.O.L.A. invites visitors to experience books and contemporary creativity in an accessible, participatory way that is closely connected to local heritage. Vimianzo Castle provides an exceptional setting for a cultural event combining established voices, family-friendly activities and new ways of telling, reading and sharing stories.
