Mazaricos Council and Mazaricos CF are launching a new season of school futsal in Mazaricos for 2026/2027, expanding sporting opportunities for local children through the Xogade programme.
The initiative promotes grassroots sport as a way to learn, socialise and compete in a healthy environment. Teams will be mixed and are open to boys and girls with or without previous experience, with no federation licence required.
Taking part in school futsal is compatible with playing 11-a-side football and other sports. Participants are also covered by the Xogade sports insurance scheme provided by the Xunta de Galicia for children aged 6 to 16.
The programme offers regular competition throughout the season and gives young players another way to develop technical skills, teamwork and positive sporting habits.
Registration is open until 23 October 2026. To sign up, families should provide the participant’s name, year of birth and a contact telephone number.
For more information, call 981 86 71 04, email brais.sendon@gmail.com, contact a Mazaricos CF representative or visit the Mazaricos Council offices.
This initiative strengthens grassroots sport, community life and opportunities for young people in Mazaricos by making an accessible and educational sporting activity available in a rural setting.
