Festa da Barquiña 2026 in Ponteceso takes place from 11 to 14 September, bringing four days of live music, traditional Galician verbena parties, vermouth sessions, street entertainment, popular food, family activities and fireworks. One of Ponteceso’s best-known local celebrations returns with a programme that runs from lunchtime well into the night, with Praza do Recheo as one of the main gathering points.
The festivities begin from 9:00 pm with a large community barbecue. The evening continues with Discoteca Móbil Impacto, featuring David Bermúdez and DJ Nyan Boe, together with a performance by Galician Army.
Saturday starts with a vermouth session by Dúo La Tendencia. At night, the main verbena will feature New York and Discoteca Móbil Impacto with Drew Korme, combining the atmosphere of a classic Galician summer festival with a late-night DJ session.
The day begins with a street parade by Inllar. Mass will be held at 1:30 pm, followed by a vermouth session with Fuego. At 6:00 pm, O Recheo will host games and a foam party, before the evening closes with a verbena by Orquestra Fuego.
The final day opens with a bagpipers’ street parade. At 1:00 pm, Mass will be sung by Coral de Santa Mariña, followed by a vermouth session with Grupo Ritmo. Games return to O Recheo at 6:00 pm, and the final night brings together Orquestra Trébol and Grupo Ritmo. At midnight, a fireworks display will bring Festa da Barquiña 2026 to a close.
