Find out more about A pel do territorio: landscape painting exhibition in Corme

The Museo de Corme in Ponteceso hosts «A pel do territorio» from 19 August to 13 September 2026, a landscape painting exhibition featuring a selection of works by participants in the 8th Fernando Álvarez de Sotomayor Open-Air Painting Competition.

The exhibition offers different ways of looking at the Costa da Morte landscape. Atlantic light, inhabited spaces, natural forms and the relationship between place and memory become artistic material in a show that extends the creative experience of the open-air competition held in July.

Landscape, art and territory in Corme

«A pel do territorio» shows how different artists can interpret the same surroundings through their own techniques, visual languages and sensibilities. The exhibition presents landscape painting as a way of observing and understanding a place, turning the Museo de Corme into a meeting point between contemporary creation and the territory that inspires it.

The exhibition can be visited until 13 September at the Museo de Corme (MACCMO), Rúa Real 14, Corme-Porto, offering visitors an opportunity to discover art closely connected to the landscape and identity of Ponteceso during the final weeks of summer.

Organised by

The event is organised by the Concello de Ponteceso with the support of the Deputación da Coruña.
