Caión will celebrate the Novena of Our Lady of the Miracles from 5 to 13 September 2026, one of the most deeply rooted religious traditions in A Laracha and the Costa da Morte. Over nine days, the parish church of Nosa Señora do Socorro and the Sanctuary of the Miracles will host Masses, solemn services and the traditional processions carrying the image of the Virgin to and from the sanctuary.
The Romaría da Nosa Señora dos Milagres de Caión, recognised as a Festival of Tourist Interest in Galicia, brings together local residents, devotees and pilgrims every September in a celebration closely linked to the religious and cultural identity of Caión.
8 September is the main feast day of the Miracles of Caión, although the religious programme extends throughout the novena. The procession to the Sanctuary, the solemn Mass and the return procession are among the most moving moments of a celebration that attracts many pilgrims each year.
