The Dried Conger Eel Days at Restaurante A Furna in Muxía offer a very special culinary event centred on one of the most distinctive products of this seafaring tradition. On Saturday, April 25, A Furna will celebrate dried conger eel, a food with history, identity and a flavour deeply connected to the culture of the sea.
The event will feature a guest chef from Calatayud, who will prepare authentic Bilbilitana-style dried conger eel with chickpeas, following a traditional recipe made in the old way. It will be a great chance to discover, or rediscover, a dish that speaks of culinary heritage, local identity and the enduring value of traditional coastal cuisine.
In addition, A Furna will create two special off-menu dishes, reinterpreting this unique ingredient through its rice and grill-focused kitchen. Reservations are recommended and can be made by calling 621 230 867. A delicious way to experience Muxía through a tradition that still has plenty to say at the table.
