Conecta coa danza welcomes September in Ponteceso with a simple invitation: try classical dance free of charge and discover what it feels like to work with movement, music and technique. The activity begins on Wednesday, 2 September 2026 at 6:30 pm at Edificio das Escolas and is aimed at participants aged 4 to 16.
Throughout September, children and teenagers can try this discipline for free. It is a particularly appealing opportunity for complete beginners as well as young people who already enjoy movement and would like to explore the language of classical ballet more closely.
Classical dance is about much more than steps and positions. At beginner level, it introduces key foundations such as coordination, musicality, body awareness, balance and expression through movement. These skills are developed progressively, allowing technique, precision and confidence to grow naturally over time.
“Conecta coa danza” turns September into a month for discovering the discipline without having to make a long-term commitment first. Trying a class, getting to know the space and experiencing the physical work directly is often the best way to understand why classical dance remains such a valuable foundation for artistic training.
The initiative is organised by the Culture Department of Ponteceso Council with the support of the Deputación da Coruña.
