Autumn in Galicia is a time for roasted chestnuts, local traditions and gathering together. On Saturday 7 November 2026, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm, the Municipal Sports Hall in Laxe will host the 15th Magosto and Craft Fair, an inviting afternoon of traditional music, handmade crafts and family activities on the Costa da Morte.
Visitors can enjoy free chestnuts and drinks as part of the traditional autumn magosto celebration. Os Farrapos de Cesullas will bring live traditional music to the festivities.
The craft exhibition will feature leatherwork, basket weaving, bobbin lace, woodwork, decorated roof tiles, jewellery, pottery, amigurumi crochet figures and painted stones. It is a chance to appreciate the skill and creativity behind these handmade pieces.
There will also be inflatable attractions, children’s workshops and a photo spot to capture a memory of the day.
The event is organised by Laxe Town Council through its department for commerce, hospitality, tourism and culture, with support from the A Coruña Provincial Council. Residents and visitors are welcome to celebrate the season and explore the region’s living traditions.
