On 5 and 6 October 2026, Muxía will host the second meeting of the European LDA-NEXT project together with a transnational workshop focused on the role of local development agents. Representatives from the participating territories will come together to exchange knowledge, identify shared challenges and work on future priorities for cooperation.
Under the theme “Empowering local development agents for a cohesive Europe”, the event will explore the role of these professionals as a link between territories, local communities, businesses and public administrations. The workshop is designed to share good practices, identify needs and develop proposals that can feed into the European agenda.
The first day will take place at Casa de Trillo, in Santa Mariña (Muxía). The programme will combine a hybrid session with co-creation activities, good-practice exchange, discussion and networking among participants.
In the afternoon, the second meeting of the LDA-NEXT Steering Committee will be held, followed by a visit to several resources and initiatives in the municipality of Muxía connected with local development and the territory.
On Tuesday, 6 October, the programme will continue with a day dedicated to discovering good practices and resources across Costa da Morte. The activities will offer participants first-hand insight into local experiences while strengthening cooperation among local development professionals from different European territories.
The workshop positions Muxía as a meeting point for professionals and organisations working on local development, territorial cooperation and shared responses to the challenges facing European communities.
