The 13th edition of O Mes da Fundación 2026 opens in Cee with a conference by Marta Riera, PhD in Fine Arts, exploring the role of women in artistic creation and promotion.
The conference travels across different cultural, geographical and historical contexts through the lives and work of women connected to a range of artistic disciplines. The focus is on their personal experiences, the conditions in which they developed their work and the lasting influence of their legacy today.
Rather than presenting a simple sequence of names and dates, the session offers an accessible and critical look at art history: how women have been represented, which spaces they occupied as creators and promoters, and how their contributions can be reconsidered from a contemporary perspective.
The conference will take place on Saturday, 26 September 2026 at 8:30 pm at the Auditorio Baldomero Cores in the Casa da Cultura de Cee. Admission is free.
This conference launches a new edition of the educational and cultural programme organised by the Fundación Fernando Blanco de Lema, bringing a series of cultural and educational events to Cee over the following weeks.
