FIOT en Ruta brings one of this edition’s most affecting productions to Carballo: Vidas enterradas, a documentary-theatre project built from real testimonies about people killed during the Spanish Civil War and Francoist repression. The performance takes place on Sunday 11 October 2026 at 12:30 pm, in a close-up format that places voice and memory at the centre of the experience.
The production grew out of a radio series developed by Javier del Pino, Conchi Cejudo and Gervasio Sánchez, transforming those accounts into stage material. Rather than offering a distant historical reconstruction, the piece works through intimate personal stories: names, absences, family silences and memories carried from one generation to the next.
L’Om Imprebís, Micomicón Teatro, Teatro Corsario and Teatro del Temple join forces in a work structured around six monologues, with texts by Mafalda Bellido, Juan Mayorga, Juan José Millás, Alfonso Plou, Laila Ripoll and Pepe Viyuela. Four established theatre companies turn historical memory into an immediate, humane theatrical experience rooted in the lives of those who endured it.
Vidas enterradas treats memory not as a slogan but as a responsibility to listen. The result is theatre that restores overlooked stories to the present with dignity, precision and restrained emotion.
