The Rus Patron Saint Festivities 2026, in the municipality of Carballo, combine religious tradition, lunchtime music sessions, evening dances and live entertainment over three days in August, followed by a final food event on 26 September: the 12th Gran Pulpada de Rus.
A solemn mass will take place at 1:00 pm at the Church of Santa María de Rus. The day continues with a lunchtime music session and evening dance featuring Máster.
Mass will be held at the Chapel of Santa Eufemia at 1:00 pm, followed by a lunchtime session and evening dance with Fusión Revolution.
The programme returns to the Church of Santa María de Rus for mass at 1:00 pm. La Conexión will provide the music for the lunchtime session and evening dance.
On Saturday 26 September, the celebrations continue with the 12th Gran Pulpada, featuring Pulpería Luis Guerra. Announced prices are €40 for adults, €20 for children aged 6 to 11, and free admission for children aged 0 to 5.
The Rus festivities are a chance to enjoy local community life, traditional evening dances and popular Galician food in the Costa da Morte. The programme brings together devotion, neighbourhood celebration, music and gastronomy in one of Carballo’s classic summer events.
