Vendrán los alienígenas y tendrán tus ojos, by Pecado de Hybris, comes to FIOT 2026 in Carballo as part of the Programa de Sala and in its Galician premiere. The performance takes place on Saturday 24 October at 8:00 pm at the Auditorio Pazo da Cultura.
The title itself suggests a collision between the intimate and the impossible. The alien presence is not only a science-fiction image but also a way of looking at whatever feels strange, unsettling or difficult to name. María Velasco’s proposal inhabits that territory where everyday life can suddenly become disturbing and where theatre raises questions rather than closing them down.
The stage becomes a space of estrangement, tension and transformation. Its visual world, marked by a non-human presence and an atmosphere of suspended threat, opens the work to readings around identity, desire, fear and our perception of the other.
The Carballo performance marks the first Galician presentation of this theatrical event by Pecado de Hybris, making it a compelling date for audiences drawn to contemporary dramaturgy, adventurous stage languages and work that pushes beyond conventional storytelling.
