The Fray Diego Festival in Vimianzo will take place on Saturday, 16 May, with a programme full of music, local atmosphere and tradition. The day will begin with street music by a charanga and the bagpipe band AC Trubisquiña, bringing a festive mood to the streets before the solemn mass in honour of Fray Diego at 1:00 p.m..
After the mass, the street performances will continue with the charanga and bagpipers, followed by a lively vermouth session with Dúo La Fábula, who will perform again in the afternoon from 6:00 p.m.. At 3:00 p.m., there will be a meal featuring quail, pork barbecue, criollos and ox burger, priced at 25 euros, with drinks not included.
In the evening, from 7:00 p.m., the celebration will continue with The Djsave, while from 8:00 p.m. there will also be Galician-style ham and sandwiches. The organisers remind attendees that the maximum capacity is 200 people, making this Fray Diego Festival a great opportunity to enjoy music, food and a lively local celebration in the Costa da Morte area.
