Torres do Allo celebrates Galician Literature Day with a special event designed to bring reading, creativity and the Galician language closer to younger audiences in one of the most remarkable heritage sites in the Costa da Morte. The activity will take place on 16 May under the title “Little readers, great creations”, as part of the cultural programme of Zas Town Council.
The main activity will be a creative bookmark-making workshop, aimed at children aged 5 to 10, as well as adults who would like to take part. During the workshop, participants will be able to design and personalise their own bookmarks using different techniques and materials, in an experience that combines artistic expression, reading and the promotion of the Galician language.
The day will also include the temporary exhibition “Os Riobóo, a saga do Allo”, guided tours at 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., and the clue game “O legado de Francisca”, a family-friendly activity to discover the heritage site in a participatory way. All activities are free of charge, but prior registration is required at the Zas and Baio Sociocultural Centres, by calling 981 751 398 or 981 718 056, or by emailing info@torresdoallo.gal.
