Ponteceso marks International Women’s Day (March 8) with a month-long programme that brings together culture, reflection and public events throughout March—an invitation to spotlight equality, make women’s experiences visible, and keep moving forward as a community.
The programme includes the art exhibition “En clave de muller” by painter Lola Saavedra (from March 3 to 31) at the Municipal Public Library. On March 8, from 10:30 am, a series of events promoted by Colectivo Feminista en Pé will take place, including awareness actions and a public reading at 12:00 pm in Praza do Relleno.
On March 10 at 11:30 am, the IES Eduardo Pondal will host the magic show “A igualdade non ten truco” for students. And on March 21 at 5:00 pm, the Municipal Public Library will welcome the talk “A universidade: formación, investigación e tamén emprendemento” by Eva López Barrio, coordinator of the Woman Emprendemento project at the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC).
