Muxía Carnival 2026

Muxía Carnival 2026 brings five days of colour, music and fun to the town, with events spread across different venues in the municipality. From 14 to 18 February, the programme mixes costumes, social dancing, creative workshops and a big traditional finale with the Enterro do Percebe.

• Costume Contest (Children, Adults, Groups & Comparsas)

  Venue: Municipal Sports Hall
  Description: Hosted by actor and comedian Isi, with categories for all ages—plus a tasting of orellas and filloas.
• Carnival Social Dance
  Date: Sunday, 15 February 2026
  Time: 6:00 pm
  Venue: Sala Gervasio Sar
  Description: An afternoon dance with a live performance by Marietta, with snacks and a photocall.
• Venetian Mask Workshop (Muxiarte)
  Date: Monday, 16 February 2026
  Time: 5:00 pm
  Venue: Sala Gervasio Sar
  Description: A creative workshop to make Venetian masks with Muxiarte.
• Carnival Recipe Workshop (ANPA O Facho)
  Date: Tuesday, 17 February 2026
  Time: 5:00 pm
  Venue: Sala Gervasio Sar
  Description: A food workshop with ANPA O Facho focused on traditional Carnival treats.
• Enterro do Percebe (Carnival Farewell)
  Date: Wednesday, 18 February 2026
  Time: 7:00 pm
  Venue: Departure from the Camposa building (parade through the streets, bonfire at Rambleta)
  Description: The grand finale: a street procession, the burning at Rambleta, fireworks and a big hot chocolate gathering.
