Christmas 2025 in Vimianzo #BrillaVimianzo

Christmas 2025 in Vimianzo is packed with lights, music and activities for all ages under the slogan #BrillaVimianzo. Throughout December and early January, the town will host cultural, sporting, gastronomic and family events: from the food corner and live concerts to workshops, an ice rink, Santa visits, the Three Kings parade and much more.

Main programme

• Christmas Card Contest – Rules available at www.vimianzo.gal.
• Christmas Lights Switch-On – 5 DEC at 8:00 p.m., at the Recuncho Gastronómico. Show “Tibu e os seus amigos”, big hot-chocolate party and opening of the food corner.
• Launch of the Mercabolas Campaign – 6 DEC.
• Christmas Carols in the Parishes – From 12 to 22 DEC, with Teté Teatro and the bagpipe group O Revoltixo de Carantoña.
• Opening of the Ice Rink – 15 DEC at 5:00 p.m.
• Santa Claus
  • Videocall with Santa (CEMIT classroom): 16 and 17 DEC for CEIP San Vicenzo and Baiñas.
  • Santa’s visit:
    • 18 DEC: CEIP Baiñas, EI Os Vimianziños, sheltered housing and nursing home.
    • 19 DEC: CEIP San Vicenzo and EEI Carantoña.
• Christmas Log Lighting – 23 DEC at 11:00 a.m. by the castle hearth.
• Vimianzo Concilia at Christmas – From 22 DEC to 7 JAN. Dates: 22, 23, 26, 29, 30 DEC and 2, 7 JAN. Ages: 3–12. Fee: €30 (€10 early-morning service). Timetable: 10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. (8:00–10:00 a.m. early arrivals). Registration open until 15 DEC at the Casa da Cultura.
• Practical Film Workshop – 22 and 23 DEC, for 12–17-year-olds. Fee: €30. Timetable: 11:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. Registration until 15 DEC at the Casa da Cultura.
• Three Kings Parade – 5 JAN. Their Majesties will visit all the parishes of Vimianzo from 10:00 a.m. onwards.
