On Saturday, July 5th and Sunday, July 6th, 2025, the parish of Paiosaco (A Laracha) hosts the renowned Paiosaco Cherry Fair, a festival officially recognized as a Galician Tourist Interest Event. This lively gastronomic and cultural gathering celebrates the region’s star fruit—the cherry—offering a family-friendly atmosphere with live music, local crafts, and sweet treats.
On Saturday, July 5th, the festivities begin with a vermouth session led by Dúo Matices, followed by an open-air party featuring the Kubo Orchestra, Impacto Mobile Disco, and DJ Sonic. On Sunday, July 6th, at 12:00 PM, the fair opens in Paiosaco Square with the brass band Kilomberos de Monte Alto. A midday vermouth session by Dúo Platino keeps the energy high before evening performances by Asociación Cultural Queiroga (8:00 PM), Os Meliados (9:30 PM), and Xurxo Fernandes (10:30 PM), who will close the event with a spectacular fireworks finale. Enjoy cherries, music, and tradition in the heart of Costa da Morte!
