Find out more about Mount Banle

Located along the places of Gures and Ameixenda, is one of the few preserved natural spaces; Mount Banle. It is a practically virgin landscape, with a wide area protected by the Natura Network.

This setting is the cradle of a multitude of springs and water wells that give life to an ecosystem that is becoming extinct in the European Union, characterized by an extensive sample of native fauna and flora. Horses, cows and roe deer coexist in this territory, among other animals. It is also flown over by larks and eagles.

In addition, the recent discovery of rock beds found within it made Banle a key location for research into the ancient civilizations that inhabited the place.
