Find out more about Vimianzo Castle

The fortress has a polygonal plan, with four towers, a parade ground and other rooms. It is surrounded by a deep moat, and the diamond-tipped battlements are preserved in the Tower of Homage and on the promenade of one of the walls. Based on the characteristics of its walls, it is estimated that this building has its origin in the last years of the twelfth or early thirteenth century. Its history is linked to the Moscoso de Altamira family.

This fortress hosts a live craft exhibition every summer, and on weekends throughout the year.
