Rexenera Fest will be the fourth international public art festival in Carballo. This fourth edition will take place from the 23rd of May to the 3rd of June 2018. It will bring over 5 artists from different nations who will be painting 5 big murals around the town, there will also be of master classes, conferences, live music and a guide route. In this edition the chosen artists are Lula Goce (Galiza-Spain), Bosoletti (Argentina), Daniel Muñóz “SAN” (Cáceres-Spain), Milu Correch(Argentina) and Doa (Galiza-Spain).
The aim of the project is to bring together the best urban artists there are in Galicia, Spain and international scenes, transforming the town into an open air museum that will grow with each edition.The festival will be an open window to the world placing Carballo´s streets on the map so that it is recognized for its unique and different cultural tourism.
In each edition, Rexenera Fest works towards regenerating the town´s eyesores and using the streets as a space for dialogue and artistic expression. It will help to bring back to life run down places, adding value and new scenery to the town, making the flow of pedestrians even greater and providing leisure spaces in the areas that will be acted on. For a week, the participating artists will be working in different locations where neighbours and visitors can stop by and get a close to look at the skilsl and the artistic process of each work.
