During the work table held on March 11 for the design of tourist promotions and activities for sporting events at the House of Culture of Vimianzo, the CMAT presented a proposal to encourage sport tourism in the Costa da Morte.
In the same, all the sports tourism companies of the geodestine met to design the promotions and complementary activities in this sector.
An activity promoted by the CMAT and subsidized by the Provincial Council of A Coruña continuing a line of work already initiated by the CMAT during 2018 in the search to improve the tourist use of the sport events celebrated in Costa da Morte and the positioning of the territory as a destination of sports tourism .
The second part of this line of work resulted in the design among the assistants, in a participatory way, of the different promotions and complementary activities for athletes and escorts, which were then able to join the companies that liked it accordingly.
The CMAT wants to present the result of the “brain storming” proposed in Vimianzo in three sporting events, the most important of which is the “Vimianzo Race”, which proposes complementary activities and special promotional activities for athletes and escorts for the tourism-sports sector. of the sporting events of the territory overnight and enjoy the activities throughout the weekend.
The sports tourism companies that adhere to this program are: Naturmaz (Mazaricos), Adventurézaro (Dumbría) and Nautica Golfiño (Caión – A Laracha), which offer a 20% discount to users and companions who want to participate in tourism activities detailed for them.
On the other hand ten lodgings on the Costa da Morte (The House of the Channel (Vimianzo) As Eiras (CEE), Pensión Risco (Vimianzo), Oca Insua Hotel (Cee), A Casa de Lelo (Ponteceso), Mar de Queo (CARBALLO) , Morada da Moa (Carnota), Rincón da Baiuca (Muxía), Casa Castiñeira (Muxía) and the Casa de Trillo, also in Muxía) offer a 10% discount on rent for all those assigned and accompanying in the different activities proposed in this type of sports tourism.
