San Xoán 2026 in Fisterra will take place on Saturday, 20 June with a programme combining theatre, children’s activities, local food, traditional music and the eagerly awaited bonfire. The celebration will be held between the Mercado Cultural and Praza do Concello, bringing residents and visitors together for a day full of atmosphere and tradition.
In the afternoon, the Escola Municipal de Teatro do Concello de Fisterra will premiere “O sono dunha noite de San Xoán” at the Mercado Cultural, with performances at 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.. Tickets must be reserved through the Concello de Fisterra. From 8:00 p.m., food and drink stalls will open in Praza do Concello, where there will also be face painting, balloon modelling and traditional games.
The evening programme will begin at 9:30 p.m. with a performance by Maruxía de Laxe, followed by the San Xoán bonfire, sardines, music and an open foliada for anyone wishing to take part. Participants are encouraged to bring their instruments and join a lively night of dancing, shared celebration and one of the most cherished traditions marking the beginning of summer.
