From Wednesday, September 24th to Saturday, September 27th, 2025, the town of Corme (Ponteceso) will celebrate the traditional Remedios Festivities of Corme 2025, in honor of the Virgin of Remedios, the town’s patron saint.
On Wednesday 24th, the festivities will feature parades by the bagpipe group Centenarios de Louro, a solemn mass at 1:00 p.m. followed by a procession. Music will take center stage with a vermouth session by Aixa Romay, a concert by the tuna group Cantores de la Torre, and a small open-air dance in Praza do Pan with the same artist, ending with a fireworks show.
On Saturday 27th, during the famous “Cormelán New Year’s Eve,” there will be a parade with the charanga O Rumbo, a big party with Dúo Arcángel and Trío Soprano, as well as children’s campanadas with sweets at 10:00 p.m. and the traditional midnight chimes with grapes and fireworks.
