Mofa e Befa: Os dous de sempre opens the autumn programme at the Auditorio de Vimianzo with an irreverent return to the world of Castelao. Evaristo Calvo and Víctor Mosqueira, joined by Josito Porto, bring Pedriño and Rañolas to the stage in a free adaptation built around humour, melancholy and social satire.
Producións Teatrais Excéntricas links Castelao’s imagery with clowning, cabaret and Galicia’s popular comic tradition. Directed by Quico Cadaval, the production uses satire to revisit characters and social tensions whose contradictions still feel strikingly familiar.
The show moves between high and popular culture, caricature and emotion, turning the stage into a comic laboratory where a Galician classic feels immediate, theatrical and contemporary.
