Horizonte Azul: Seafaring Tourism, Maritime Heritage and Social Innovation will take place on 25 and 26 June at the Casa da Cultura de Cee, turning the Costa da Morte into a meeting point for reflection on the sea, maritime heritage and new opportunities linked to blue tourism. This is the 10th edition of the summer course organised by the Faculty of Tourism of the University of A Coruña, with the collaboration of CMAT – Costa da Morte Tourism Association.
The course will address maritime heritage as a strategic resource for the sustainable development of coastal territories, focusing on the role of seafaring communities, fishermen’s guilds and local organisations in its conservation, tourism enhancement and transmission to new generations. The programme will bring together academic specialists, institutional representatives and professionals connected to tourism and the maritime sector.
Registration is open, with a general fee of €50, a reduced fee of €30 for students, unemployed people and pensioners, and free registration for UDC Summer Course 2026 grant holders. The course will be held in person and is aimed at students, tourism professionals, people connected to the maritime sector and anyone interested in the relationship between the sea, territory, social innovation and sustainable tourism.
