¿Dónde están los niños? by Tartean Teatroa comes to the Auditorio de Vimianzo as part of Escena Norte. Written and directed by Jokin Oregi, the play focuses on childhood and on the responsibility of adults when children are struggling.
The story centres on Maddi, an eight-year-old girl who has been showing signs that something is wrong. From an extreme event, the production builds a choral portrait of family, professionals and society, asking what adults notice —and what they fail to notice— when a child cannot find the words to express distress.
The production combines performance, music and visual elements to approach a sensitive subject with dramatic depth. Its focus shifts toward the adult world, examining expectations, silence and care. Because of its themes, the production is intended for adult audiences.
