On Saturday, 17 October 2026, at 8:00 pm, Muxía’s Salón do Voluntariado welcomes D.E.P. (Rest in Peace), a darkly funny Galician stage comedy by Malasombra Producións. The performance opens Outono en Escena, the town’s autumn performing arts programme on the Costa da Morte.
Two brothers reveal their most selfish sides as they argue over an inheritance. Lies, manipulation and family grudges quickly take over. There is just one problem: their mother is still alive. Turning a familiar family conflict into sharply observed comedy, D.E.P. explores greed, sibling rivalry and the absurd situations money can create.
The production stars Jouse García and Xoque Carbajal, is directed by Marcos Orsi and was written by Pep Antón Gómez and Jordi Sánchez. It received the 2019 Vigocultura Award and the 2018 Audience Award at the Mostra de Teatro de Malpica.
Opening Muxía’s autumn cultural season, this performance offers visitors and locals a chance to experience live Galician theatre. Expect pointed humour, recognisable family tensions and a story that finds comedy in the most uncomfortable human impulses. The performance is presented in Galician.
