The Afiando Fouciños film series continues in Zas with a screening of «360 Curvas», a documentary by Alejandro Gándara and Ariadna Silva Fernández that received the Mestre Mateo Award for Best Documentary. The screening will take place on Friday, 2 October 2026 at 9:00 pm at the Auditorio de Zas.
The 360 bends separating A Fonsagrada from Lugo provide the starting point for a story about a mountain territory shaped by distance, isolation and population decline. The documentary follows a long and difficult road that also becomes a metaphor for the decline of an area whose residents, in the early 1990s, chose to organise and fight for their future through the movement known as As Movidas.
Moving between the past and a still-recent present, the film reconstructs the story of a rural community determined not to disappear. Through its people and a landscape that shapes everyday life, «360 Curvas» brings together collective memory, identity and the transformation of rural Galicia.
This screening is the second session of Afiando Fouciños, a film programme linked to the Premios Fouciño and focused on audiovisual works connected with memory, culture and territory. More information about cultural events in the municipality is also available on the Concello de Zas website.
