O que non estaba escrito is the oral storytelling show with which Carmen Conde comes to FIOT 2026 in Carballo. A session for adult audiences built from stories gathered over years of conversations, journeys and careful listening: tales that lived in people’s memories before passing through the storyteller’s imagination.
Carmen Conde has spent two decades collecting, writing and telling stories across Galicia. In this show she returns an oral tradition-inspired repertoire to the spoken voice, reshaping it through a deliberately blurred mix of reality and imagination. Everyday life meets the surreal, popular memory meets surprise, and humour reveals the kind of truth that rarely appears in official records.
The performance is part of Rúa dos Contos, the FIOT strand that turns cafés, bars and intimate spaces into stages for storytelling, humour and Galician wit.
