On August 30 and 31, Coiro, in the municipality of Mazaricos, will celebrate A Romaxe 2025, a popular festival that blends tradition, music, and gastronomy. On Saturday, August 30, the day will start at 11:00 a.m. with a procession from Coiro Church to the Romaxe Chapel. At 2:00 p.m., there will be a midday session with soloist Laura, followed at 3:00 p.m. by the community lunch. In the afternoon, Jaitas Blues will provide the music, along with the Rural Olympics featuring traditional games.
On Sunday, August 31, the day will begin with masses at 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., followed by a solemn mass and procession around the chapel with Jaitas Blues at 1:00 p.m. At 4:00 p.m., Charanga Santa Compaña will take over, and the festivities will conclude with a big midday session and evening dance from 7:00 p.m. with the O Noche orchestra.
Throughout the weekend, there will be inflatable attractions for children and a pulpo stand serving traditional Galician dishes, including octopus and churrasco. A perfect event to enjoy with the family in the heart of Mazaricos.
