Cereixo welcomes autumn with a cultural morning combining heritage, storytelling, music and community in one of Vimianzo’s most distinctive historic settings. A Costa da Vida · Autumn 2026 takes place on 4 October from 11:00 am at the Church of Santiago de Cereixo.
The programme starts at 11:00 am with “From legendary journey to cultural resource: the Translatio of Cereixo as a model”, a presentation and exhibition led by cultural mediator Raquel López Noia. It offers an accessible introduction to the historical and symbolic value of the celebrated Translatio representation preserved at the church in Cereixo.
At 12:00 noon, Os Quinquilláns present “A barca prodixiosa de Cereixo”, a performance inspired by the stories and traditions connected with this remarkable place.
At 1:00 pm, the programme continues with a concert by the Coro Galilea de Cereixo together with Caamaño & Ameixeiras, bringing contemporary Galician folk-rooted music into the heart of Cereixo.
After the cultural programme, visitors are invited to a shared snack and community gathering, creating time to meet, talk and enjoy the atmosphere around Cereixo’s heritage and cultural life.
A rewarding event for anyone interested in discovering Cereixo through a lively mix of local heritage, storytelling and contemporary Galician culture.
